I write about Production in Church, Leadership, IT Infrastructure and Digital Transformation. I know it’s a weird mix but that’s just what I care about and since I learned a lot about those topics I’m keen to share what I’ve learned with you.
My IT background
I have been working in various positions in information technology for more than 20 years. I have worked in IT Support, as Quality Manager, Project Manager, Sales, Key Account Management, as well as Product Management. Within these different roles I have learned what it means to deliver quality, make customers happy, deal with difficult people, negotiate goals and contracts as well as generally deal with competing goals. I also learned how to motivate and inspire people.
I work for Amazon Web Services (AWS) the IT infrastructure subsidiary of Amazon helping companies build great digital products and services. What I write is just my own opinion.
My Sound and Production background
I also lead the Production Team at Saddleback Church in Berlin as a Production Director. Saddlback is represented globally in many locations like California, Buenos Aires, Manila and Hong Kong. I studied sound engineering 20 years ago and since then I have brought my knowledge to churches and set up fixed or mobile sound systems, led production teams and mixed live.
I love technology and always look for ways to make things easier and automate processes and procedures. I read a lot about it and write about my experiences in this blog.
I always like to try out new things. My experiences in IT sales and product management help me to simplify processes in live production.
